Praia de Gale - the beach for sport

Praia de Gale is one of the finest beaches of the Algarve - with its fine sweep of sand, bluish-green sea, beautiful rock formations, and warm Algarve sunshine, this is a place where you can truly relax. The resort has plenty of sport on offer too - either at Praia de Gale or nearby, you can enjoy an impressive range of activities: surfing, fishing, swimming, horse riding, paragliding, diving, wind-surfing, cycling, mountain biking, tennis, walking, sailing, golf, and water skiing.
Near Praia de Gale you have four star luxury in the form of The Vila Gale Praia, which is clean and modern, with attentive staff. If sea swimming is not what you prefer, then they have a lovely pool for you to enjoy.
The Algarve attracts a lot of keen golf players, and the Golf Salgados Golf Course is a few minutes away by car. There are a number of other top Algarve golf courses nearby as well.
The area around the beach is mostly residential, and fairly quiet in the evenings. There are a few beach cafes where you can eat wonderful fresh fish, grilled meat and other good dishes, as well as enjoying local and international beers, wines and spirits.
If a little more nightlife is to your taste, Praia de Gale is not that far from lively Albufeira, where you can find some great bars and pubs, as well as places to dance and listen to music.
The nearest airport is Faro, and their are a number of package deals available to the area, as well as villa and apartment rentals.
Praia de Gale is particularly loved by people who are into the the active outdoor life, followed by quiet, relaxing evenings.
